The album was recorded from September 2008 to May 2009 at the blue room, Brisbane. This recording provided an opportunity to explore new areas of symphonic arrangement. Strings have been used on plenty of CP recordings in the past but this was the first time CP have ventured into orchestral percussion. This started off as a simple 3-chord rocker, and somehow, despite our best inentions, became this epic prog-rock monster. Written well before the onset of this global economic crisis thingy, the song is a meditation on greed, as well as a sort of speculation about what would happen if the global financial system reached a point of chronic collapse.
